Information:
Reef Kalkwasser is pure calcium hydroxide, high solubility. Calcium hydroxide is used to prepare the solution that keeps the calcium in the aquarium at natural concentrations.
Ensures proper levels of calcium (directly) and the right carbonate hardness (indirectly). These two functions are, however, also linked to the rate of evaporation and carbon dioxide (CO2) present.
If evaporation and CO2 are insufficient you can provide additional calcium with Reef Advantage Calcium, Reef Reef Complete or Calcium and a fair Builder or carbonate hardness with Reef Reef Carbonate (not dissolve these products directly into the already prepared with Reef Kalkwasser).
Instructions:
Do not place the product directly in the aquarium, but dissolve advance 3 g (about 1 teaspoon) in 4 liters of fresh water. You can also prepare a saturated solution by dissolving 6 g (about 2 teaspoons) in 4 liters of fresh water. Pour into the aquarium gradually
Controlling the pH and carbonate hardness. Adjust the input in order to obtain a stable pH at 8.3 - 8.4.
Suggestions:
4 liters of a saturated solution of lime water in 150 liters of seawater raise the calcium level of 24 mg / l. Always use the clear liquid (top water) taking place in the aquarium sediment undissolved that forms at the bottom. When not in use its best efforts, keep the container tightly closed and minimize contact with air to prevent the calcium carbonate precipitates.
Warnings:
Avoid contact with skin and especially eyes. Do not inhale the dust and not ingest. In case of contact with skin, rinse the area for 5 - 10 minutes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse for 5 - 10 minutes and if the burning persists see a doctor. |
