Product: OceanLife Iron 250ml
Features:
The Berliner bases its success on the use of live rock , strong lighting, abundant water movement and filtration entrusted to a skimmer . In this way it creates an environment that simulates what happens in the natural reef , or the removal of pollutants by surface- skimmer and a reduction in non-polar compounds pollutants by live rocks (which are home to an internal collection of microorganisms able to complete the nitrogen cycle ) .
Iron is a critical element in photosynthesis and is used by the zooxanthellae to transform carbon dioxide into glucose and oxygen . Glucose is then used by corals as the primary source of energy for growth .
The Iron is also used by Phytoplankton and , if deficient, limits growth . The Phytoplankton , in addition to feed a number of other useful microorganisms , is an excellent user of nitrate and phosphorus and helps to maintain such low values as the natural habitat of hard corals .
The Iron , like other elements , it is very easily oxidized and easily becomes deficient in the aquarium water .
A continuous metering of Iron allows to enter Fe + + and Fe + + + chelated slow release to facilitate the absorption by the animals of the aquarium. Iron is to be determined preferably with the lights off .
Dosage:
Measure the concentration of iron in the water bath and add their own daily to reach the amount of 0.05 mg / l (ppm ) . Tested periodically to maintain the value at the right level . 10 ml in 100 liters increase the iron of 0,023 mg / l .
Dosage simplified :
2.5 ml every other day on average 100 liters in aquarium populated . In case of higher or lower consumption , change the amount or frequency of integrations. Do not overdose . Dose preferably with the lights off . |
