Batches of nitrifying bacteria to lower the levels of excess nutrients
Features:
BLQ23 is an unpublished bacterial culture specially designed to include only populations of nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria in the aquarium, up to the internal pores of live rocks or sandy bottoms (both low and DSB), in order to favor optimal denitrification by transforming the Nitrate (NO3) in gaseous nitrogen.
BLQ23 is therefore recommended in cases of new aquarium installation, live rocks or presence of nitrates.
BLQ23 does not cause the increase in the production of hydrogen sulphide. After a few weeks you might notice the increase in bacterial mud which, irrelevant, can also be removed without stirring or suspending it. In the new aquariums, once the maturation is complete with BLQ23, it is advisable to switch to BLQ1 formulation and ripe aquarium reefs, this can be combined with the BLQ Booster (halved dose) in order to maintain the best oligotrophic conditions.
In the case of high organic load, the dose of all BLQ series products can be doubled for short periods.
Dose:
Aquariums with important organic or new installation loads: 10 ml per 100 liters for the first 7 days and then resume after 20 days of pause for weekly use.
Mature aquariums or with reduced organic load: 1 cap (5 ml) every 100 liters, once every 1-2 weeks and after changing periodic water.
Use:
Shake before using. Pour directly into the aquarium possibly with lights off.
As the rate of replication of these bacteria is very low, it will take a few weeks to appreciate the effects. When using BLQ23 suspend any other bacterial formulation for at least 1 month.
For best results, BLQ Booster's regular use, after the first month of use of BLQ23, is also recommended as an organic carbon source for the growth and maintenance of bacterial populations.
