Features:
An essential material of the aquarium’s filtration system is that
which allows the settlement of chemo-etherotrophic bacteria, which
will decompose the organic substances produced by the flora and fauna
present, a fundamental process to close the biological cycle and keep fish
and aquatic organisms alive. These bacteria decompose ammonia and
nitrites (produced by fish impuritie , dead leaves and leftovers) which are
highly toxic to the environment in the aquarium. Usually, materials of other
shapes are used for this purpose perhaps they do not allow to take full
advantage of the entire space dedicated to this product in the filte .
HAQUOSS BIOPEARL thanks to its spherical shape, with a particular
diameter (about 5mm), and the material of which it is composed (sintered
glass with porous molecular structure and adsorbent), allows you to exploit
95% of the available space still draining the water but increasing the
ability to “cling” to bacteria. In fact, one litre (about 900gr) of HAQUOSS
BIOPEARL allows the settlement of up to 20 times more bacteria than
normal ceramic rings.
Particularly suitable for overcrowded aquariums, marine aquariums or
filters of small size in relation to the volume of the tank. |
