Features:
HI98319 is a digital salinity tester designed specifically for saltwater aquariums and displays results in parts per thousand (ppt), practical salinity units (PSU) or specific gravity (S.G.). This waterproof tester uses an amperometric conductivity probe to determine the salt content in the water. This rugged tester displays readings and temperature on a large LCD display.
HANNA Instruments HI98319 is a salinity tester made specifically for saltwater aquariums and can measure salinity up to 70.00 ppt. The rugged waterproof tester is only 1.8cm thick, is extremely ergonomic and comfortable to hold. The HI98319 simplifies things with two button operation, one for ON / OFF, the other for calibration.
The salinity tester features a large multi level LCD display that displays ppt, PSU or specific gravity and temperature. The temperature can be set to display in ° C or ° F. An external temperature sensor enables quick measurements with automatic temperature compensation. The LCD screen has stability indicators and calibration indication. A battery percentage level indicator is displayed at startup to alert the user of the remaining battery charge.
Salinity readings are taken by a graphite amperometric probe that resists oxidation, providing accurate and repeatable measurements. The use of graphite also reduces the polarization effect common with testers using two stainless steel pins. |
