Aquaforest was established in 1995. Initially we manufactured substrates and aquatic plants fertilizers for zoos, Aquariums and professional plant farms.
A couple of years after the launch we started our own aquatic plants, fish and corals farms. As our cultures grew, we realized that to expand further we needed our own sea salt, foods and supplements, as no supplier could match our requirements for the high quality products.
And so our quest to create top-notch products for marine aquariums began. We started to invest heavily in research to create our own unique products. Our results were so good and the products that we created worked so well, that we decided we could no longer keep them to ourselves. We began to market them.
At the beginning of 2011 we started the production of AQUAFOREST ™ products for retail customers. The entire range soon gained significant attention from shops and marine aquarists.

The founders of Aquaforest share the passion for beautiful corals and aquariums and we want to share this passion with our customers. We know the ins and outs of marine aquariums, as we breed many interesting marine species and have our own coral farms. We want to provide the knowledge and the best quality products to all aquarists – beginners and advanced hobbyists – so they can create and enjoy their beautiful reef aquariums.
What makes our products special?
After years of research and tests we came up with the most efficient product formulas and we developed a unique Aquaforest Probiotic Method. As a result we are one of few who can offer products that allow harvesting even the most demanding coral species. What’s more, all our products are manufactured in the EU from carefully selected components and under strict laboratory supervision, so we meet the highest possible standards.

The formula of the chemical composition of the components 1+, 2+, 3+, however, is based on the method of H.Balling has been modified and enriched with necessary microelements to the proper functioning of the aquarium sea. In this way we got 3 liquid, which regularly dosed in equal quantities satisfy the fabbrisogno of corals not only magnesium and calcium, but of all the elements, whose doses in home conditions are difficult to define as they also require attention and systematic nature of their dosage. The maintenance of the appropriate level of magnesium and calcium allows to maintain the correct amount of microelements in the reef (Ca 400-440 mg / l Mg from 1280 to 1350 mg / l). With an average crowded tub of hard coral the dose is approximately 50 ml per day per 100 liters of water.
1+ component contains: Ca, Mg, Sr, Ba, Co, Mn, Cu, Fe, Zn, Ni, Cr (50ml raises 9mg of Ca / Mg 100l and 0.6mg / 100l)
2+ component contains: NaHCO3, F, I (50ml raises the KH 1,3dkH -Alk 0.46 meg / l / 100l).
3+ component contains: mineral salts and K, Bo.
