What is NitroMAX Pro?
NitroMAX Pro is a unique element intended for chemical filtration of water in freshwater aquariums, paludariums, and terrarium pools. It has the form of sacks of non-fusible interlining material filled with specially selected, filler stabilized, ion-exchanging resin. It serves for chemical absorption of nitric compounds dissolved in water, being one of the prime causes of deteriorating health condition of fish and development of onerous algae in the aquarium.
How does NitroMAX Pro work?
The unique ion-exchanging resin applied in NitroMAX Pro possesses perfect absorptive properties. Owing to this, it absorbs toxic nitric compounds dissolved in water. It traps nitrite and nitrate ions from water. It protects fish against toxic for them nitric substances and allows for limitation of volume and frequency of water replacements. It is exceptionally effective in preventing algae development.
Where and when is NitroMAX Pro useful?
NitroMAX Pro is perfect as a filter bed in canister filters, over-flow filters, sumps and internal filters having loose media chambers. It is particularly recommended for tanks with large fish and large numbers of fish, which are troubled by excess of nitric compounds in the water. Application of NitroMAX Pro allows for limitation of volume and frequency of water replacements and maintains proper and safe for fish water parameters in the tank.
How to apply NitroMAX Pro?
NitroMAX Pro is ready for use out-of-the-box and does not require rinsing or any additional actions. The package content should be placed in a filtration basket or filtration chamber. In order to ensure optimum application results it is recommended to place the NitroMAX Pro element behind elements for mechanical and biological filtration.
How long does NitroMAX Pro work?
The manner of operation of a NitroMAX Pro element (sorption) causes it to gradually fill up and wear. In order to retain optimum filtration properties it is recommended to replace it at least every 4 weeks. One sachet ensures filtration in a. 70 I aquarium for ca. 30 days.
