General technical information:
Potassium is one of the most important for plant growth and for their health. E 'is used in photosynthesis, in the ionic balance in the translocation of important organic and inorganic substances (such as sugars and nutrients) and is essential to many biochemical reactions in tissues, as evidenced by the high percentage of potassium contained in plant tissue (second only to that of nitrogen).
The affinity that some plants show for potassium may, in part, depend on the specific tendency to flower and form complex systems of roots (these two features correspond to a request for potassium greater than that observed in plants or in the cluster flowering infrequently.) environmental factors, such as intensity and duration of light and the presence of other nutrients in adequate concentrations, can also affect the demand for potash.
Since potassium is used in photosynthesis, its absence may lead to chlorosis, a condition in which little chlorophyll is produced and the leaves fade, if not remedied, the plant may suffer a decline that affects large parts of tissue (the Chlorophyll is used in the formation of new tissue) and, in extreme cases, may die. Chlorosis seems to appear first in older leaves of the plant, which tend to be in more peripheral areas. In addition to potassium, but magnesium, iron, manganese and nitrogen are important for the production of chlorophyll.
Typically, it is sufficient to maintain a total concentration of iron of 0:05 to 0:10 ppm and a magnesium concentration of ~ 5 ppm. The nitrogen should be present in the form of nitrates in a concentration below 20 ppm. The optimum concentration of potassium can vary from aquarium to aquarium, and recommend action while maintaining its concentration at about 15 ppm for a first week, and then of 1 - 2 ppm every two weeks, depending on the appearance of plants.
The suggested maximum is about 30 ppm. The speed with which the potassium is consumed depends on the speed of plant growth, so densely populated aquariums with excellent chemical and environmental values, will require an additional regular potasssio .. Brightwell Aquatics Florin-K is a pure potassium-based additive, does not contain chloride (although the chloride is a vital element for plants, is only required in very small quantities contained in Brightwell Aquatics FlorinMulti).
Because the demand for potassium by plants is higher than that of other nutrients, Florin-K is powerful and concentrated (50,000 ppm), and this makes it an effective and economical source of potassium.
- Source of pure highly concentrated potassium, necessary for enzyme activity to plants in many biochemical reactions.
- Better than many competing products.
- Formulated using extensive research on the needs of aquatic plants water specific.
Instructions and Guidelines:
Shake the bottle well before use. The most effective method of using any additive ion-specific, is to determine the concentration of that particular ion in the aquarium, before being implemented. Keep the concentration of potassium in the range of 15 - 30 ppm, 20 to 25 ppm range is a more accurate and has proven to be the most appropriate in many aquarium plants.
Normal: Add 5 ml of product per 200 liters of aquarium water every day or as needed, this dose is 1 ml (~ 8 drops) per 40 liters. Used in this way, 250 ml treats up to 10000 liters.
Advanced: Determine the concentration of potassium in the aquarium ( "[K +]") using an accurate test. Each ml of Florin-K will increase the [K +] in 4 liters of water of 13.2 ppm. Every drop increases the [K +] in 4 liters of water of 1.7 ppm, and [K +] in 80 liters of 0.08 ppm. If the [K +] in the aquarium is below 15 ppm, add this product to a maximum daily dose of 1 ml per 20 liters, until the desired concentration is not achieved. At this point dosed daily or weekly as needed. Always try to limit fluctuations of [K +] in a range of + / -2 ppm. To determine the maintenance dose, measure the daily consumption of [K +] at the same time each day for a period of two to three weeks. Calculate the volume of water throughout the system, divide the daily consumption to 13.2, multiply the number obtained by the volume of water and you get the dosage necessary to maintain a stable [K +]. Daily dosing maintains more stable potassium (and a more natural environment) than weekly.
Precautions: Keep out of reach of children. Not for human use.
