Product: Brightwell Aquatics Floringro (concentrated source of nitrogen) for Freshwater Aquariums - 250ml

Classification: concentrated sources of nitrogen and accelerating growth.
Physical state: Liquid solution
Available Sizes: 125-ml, 250-ml, 500-ml.

Nitrogen is needed by plants, and is one of the 3 macronutrients, which are Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium.

The nitrogen is part of all living cells and is a prerequisite for the metabolic processes can occur when you create proteins, amino acids, coenzymes and nucleic acids. It's'part in the production of chlorophyll by photosynthesis, the process by which light energy is used to convert carbon dioxide into carbohydrates, which in turn is used to produce the energy required for growth and development.

A percentage d 'in the aquarium nitrogen is supplied as ammonium and ammonia, derived from waste products from fish and from the decomposition of molecules of nitrogen, such as latent and the present as dissolved organic particulate matter, all this is not enough, however, to meet the needs of piante. Especially aquariums in densely populated by trees, with few fish with intense illumination and constant integration of CO2, nitrogen can become a crucial factor limiting growth in plants. In some cases the lack of this element can lead to Chlorosis: the old leaves become pale, almost transparent, the new leaves grow smaller and lighter than normal, and overall health of the plant is compromised.

The source of nitrogen contained in FlorinGro is derived from nitrogen compounds. Although it is absolutely certain that plants use the ammonia and urea components effectively, our experience combined with extensive research, led us to exclude these ingredients FlorinGro.

This decision has matured Based on the clear danger of these substances to fish and other inhabitants of the aquarium when the pH in the tank exceeds 7.0; we believe that these sources of nitrogen are useful to botanic gardens and culture, but not suited to be use in an aquarium.

The nitrogen should be mainly present as nitrate and kept in a concentration below 20 ppm. In addition to nitrogen, including magnesium, iron and potassium are important for the production of chlorophyll. We suggest you maintain a total concentration of iron is between 0:05 to 0:10 ppm, of magnesium less than ~ 5 ppm, and potassium between 15 to 30 ppm.

General Specifications:

  • Concentrated sources of nitrogen, one of the most important nutrients for growth and sustained health of aquatic plants. It is used primarily for the production of nucleic acids and proteins, which constitute up to 2% of the dry weight of plant tissue
  • The nitrogen is present as nitrate, the form most appropriate for use in aquarium (Ammonium can be transformed into toxic ammonia in aquariums with a pH above 7.0, urea is a source of ammonia)
  • Contains Kelp extract, which brings natural phytohormones that stimulate growth and flowering.
  • Formulated using extensive research on the need for nutrients by aquatic plants.

Instructions and Guidelines

Shake well before use. The most effective method of using any supplements specific ion is to determine the ion concentration in the aquarium prior to administration. Keep the nitrate concentration in a range between 10 to 20 ppm, you should not exceed 25 ppm of nitrate for plant aquariums inhabited by fish and invertebrates.

Normal: Dose 5 ml per 200 liters of water every other day or as needed. This corresponds to 1 ml (~ 8 drops) per 40 liters. When used in this way, 250 ml of product treats up to 10,000 liters of water.

Advanced: Determine the nitrate concentration ([NO3-] ") in the aquarium using an accurate test. Each ml of FlorinGro increase the [NO3-] in 4 liters of water, 17.5 ppm. Every drop increases [NO3-] 4 liters of water of 2.2 ppm, and [NO3-] in 80 liters of 0.11 ppm. every 20 liters of water, until the desired concentration is not achieved. At this point dosed daily or weekly as needed. Always try to maintain [NO3-] in a range of + / -2 ppm. To determine the maintenance dose, measured every day at the same time, consumption of nitrates, for a period of one or two weeks. Calculate the volume of water the entire system, divide the daily consumption of [NO3-] to 17.5; multiply the value obtained for the volume of water in the system and have obtained the daily dosage (ml) needed to maintain stable [NO3 -]. Aquariums with many plants, intense lighting, integration of CO2, few fish are those that react most striking Floringro administration. Start with a low dose and increased to achieve the desired results. Do not over-dosed, even if you have the temptation to do so.

: Keep out of reach of children. Not for human use.
Ingredients: Total nitrogen (N) as nitrate (min) 1.50% (444 mg / oz., 15.000 ppm). Sources of nutrients: sodium nitrate.
